NIHE Boiler Replacement Scheme Print E-mail
Monday, 11 June 2012 08:00
Following the success of the Pilot Boiler Replacement Scheme the Minister for Social Development has announced a new Boiler Replacement Scheme to commence in September 2012. The scheme is for householders who struggle to heat their homes but do not normally have access to assistance from government schemes.
The scheme is for householders whose gross household income is less than £40,000 per year and is to help with the cost of replacing boilers that are 15 years old or more with new, more efficient boilers.
Household income is the total of all income (both earned income and benefit income) of all owner occupiers and their partners. The grant is payable to assist with replacing;

  • Oil boilers for a more efficient condensing boiler
  • Switching from oil to gas
  • Switching to a wood pellet boiler
For further information and details on how to apply please visit the NIHE website.
